texastailfeathers asked: Nearly a year ago I paid someone to repair my credit. She is licensed. I have a written contract. She has done nothing to help my credit and will not respond to email or telephone inquiries. How can I report her to state licensing agencies (Texas) and the credit bureaus?
This person is not a member of the Better Business Bureau. She works for a mortgage company, but does the “credit repair” independently.
By “independently”, I mean she does not represent any company. This is her “side business”.
She is not representing a COMPANY. She is not a member of BBB. She is a licensed loan officer who does credit repair INDEPENDENTLY as a SIDE BUSINESS. I do have a signed contract with a ONE YEAR GUARANTEE, signed on July 23, 2006.

cindasl asked: I have a few personal credit cards and I want to consolidate them. I am also self-employed, but I dont’ have a business credit card; although I get LOTS of ads for them in the mail. I’ve always wondered, what is the difference? Are there different rules or fees? Can you only use them for business purchases? Do you have to spend a certain amount to keep them?
Any advice appreciated…

Curt F asked: Hi everyone.
I’ve been spending alot of time contemplating credit score issues and I am now considering applying for 4 new credit cards at once. However, I plan on never activating the cards for use or charging anything to the accounts.
I know my score will take a big hit for this one day of hard inquiries, but I think that in the long run it will greatly benefit my score because of the large increase in available credit with no increase in used credit.
But at the same time i’ve heard that when I go to apply for a mortgage, the banker will probably notice my available credit and use that against me.
My question is - what are all of the possible downsides of having many credit cards besides the obvious temptation of spending money you don’t really have?
Thanks so much for your help and I’m looking forward to your advice.
Thanks for the great responses - my score averaged from the three bureaus is 736 and all the offers were approved. In all honesty, my company’s stock just hit a 3 year low, so I am going to 0% cash advance the credit into my corporate discount ESPP program and flip the shares. I know this is not encouraged by most corporations - but hey the free money is hard to pass up.
Then I will reimburse the cards and let them sit until I see another opportunity of this sort. Thanks again!

shooter 1 asked: I have zero debt. I also have several credit cards. I am wondering how it will affect my credit to request the highest limit for each card, or if I should cancel all but 2 and have those with high spending limits. Along the same lines, how does “available” credit affect one’s credit score negatively or positively? If I get a $50,000 limit on a card (with 0 balance) but say, go to buy a car, will I be denied because I have too much credit out there?
